The Coonawarra wine region is a wine region centred on the town of Coonawarra in the Limestone Coast zone of South Australia. It is known for the Cabernet Sauvignon wines produced on its "terra rossa" soil. Coonawarra is an Aboriginal word meaning "Honeysuckle".
This wine provides prominent aromas of black cherry with subtle earthy and eucalyptus notes. Rich flavours of blackcurrant and sweet oak with a hint of herbaceous notes. The finish is lingering yet smooth and silky. Serve with braised beef short ribs or a rich braised mushroom cassoulet.
